From performances on ‘The Tonight Show’, VH-1, at Carnegie Hall, to chatting with George Burns, Sara Hickman has brought joy and hope with her positive folk/pop/rock to adults and children with her diverse musical styles. She has received countless awards for her music and humanitarian work.

Recent cover girl for The Austin Chronicle, Sara has released more than 15 albums, including a half dozen on major record labels, and a few independent albums. She’s toured with Billy Bragg, Nanci Griffith and Dan Fogelberg. Opened for everyone from Lucinda Williams to John Hiatt to the Decemberists.
She had a #3 adult contemporary hit “I Couldn’t Help Myself”, has twice been a guest of NBC’s Tonight Show, hosted her own VH-1 special, produced an independent video, Joy, that won first place in the USA Film Festival, and co-produced a PBS documentary titled Take It Like A Man. Sara is also the current Official State Musician of Texas, following in the footsteps of the legendary Willie Nelson, and she plans on using this title to bring art programs into public schools.![]()
Sara also does a world of good. She’s raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Dallas Dance for Life, House the Homeless, Bryan’s House, Amnesty International (among many others), and raised more than $50,000 for the Hill Country Youth Ranch in Ingram, Texas, a safe haven for severely abused children.
Also featured in this performance will be Femaile Vocalist of the Year (Ft. Worth Star Telegram) and Kerrville New Folk finalist Elizabeth Wills and Blue Rock’s own Billy Crockett.
