Announcing the new Blue Rock Foundation! This concert celebrates the launch of a dream made real, supporting and inspiring creative process among artists and community. Thanks to the excellent Blue Rock tech and hospitality team. Still photos by Rodney Bursiel.
BILLY CROCKETT: Love for the guitar, the right word, a clear idea, and a refreshing honesty has carried Crockett through 30 years performing and 11 critically celebrated albums. “These new songs are my most personal so far,” he says. “I am singing the gypsies, the howling dogs, the gaps and mysteries, the sweetness and silent remains.”
GRACE PETTIS: With a songwriter’s DNA (she’s the daughter of the renowned writer, Pierce Pettis), and insight way beyond her years, Grace is on a roll! Her debut album, produced by Billy Crockett at Blue Rock Studio, and soulful performances have earned her top awards, including first prize in both the Mountain Stage (NPR) NewSong contest, and the recent Wildflower! Performing Songwriter Contest.
DIRJE SMITH: A cellist for whom artists and audiences are clamoring, Dirje’s playing is natural and heartfelt. A therapist by day, her work gives a perspective that resonates in the music.

Lora Lee says:
Dearest Blue Rock, welcome to my heart! You are a peaceful retreat for my soul. I thank God for the desire He placed in you, Dodee and Billy, to create such a place….an avenue for words and music that needs to be heard, and an artist’s dream escape, that constantly inspires, encourages, and gives wings to the music being created there. The show last night was magical!
Billy, Dirje, and Grace, what an amazing thing it is to hear each of your gifts on it’s own. What natural grace, and peace flow from the stage! You take us through all of our emotions….from great joy and laughter, to sweet remembrances and tears. You’ve got it going on! Love you all, and I’m grateful that our paths cross in life!
